We need a spiritual home, not a country club

This day in age we find ourselves exploring opportunities for distraction, fun things to do.  We quickly discover that the void in our souls is temporarily entertained by watching a football game or a UFC bout between two black belt gladiators in an octagon.  But nothing we do in fun appears to last; It simply vanishes with time.

I no longer have that problem. My country club for fun is now the Spiritual Home I have adapted to as a born-again believer, I know the Bible is the Word of God and I believe that God not only speaks to me through the Bible, but that God’s own words are recorded in the text of Scriptures.

Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; (Ephesians 2:19-20) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(John 3:16)

My spiritual home rests in the midst of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The country club of my past serves only as a brief reminder that my new Spiritual Home is mine to enjoy until the Lord calls me to His graceful embrace in the Kingdom of everlasting peace and joy.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.
