Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
And the blessings of living by the Spirit in Jesus are also very specific and practical. Paul indicates that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22). And they each are eternally good.
A born-again Christian’s life can only be lived in cooperative surrender to the indwelling Spirit of Jesus in the daily effort of the individual who is seeking to follow and to serve Jesus in this world. The process is not theological and theoretical. It is very intimate, it is personal and practical, it is very basic to one’s daily life.
God has ordained pastors, preachers, teachers and evangelists to point out illicit behavior, not judge. We judge the action not the person.
Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior gives you the power to become children of God; it grants you the right to His Kingdom. You don’t earn it, it is a gift from God.
If I was to tell you that a requirement to earn God’s salvation was to fly to Israel, spend days on your knees in prayer, and deposit $ 100,000 dollars into the Rabbi’s account would you take your salvation more serious? The Lord has ordained some of us as His messengers. He has anointed us with spiritual wisdom, increased our knowledge in His Word, filled us with His Holy Spirit and blessed us with the mission of proclaiming His Gospel for His Glory.
Yield your heart to Him today. Reach out to Him in repentance. You have been saved by the Blood of the Lamb. Now thank Him, praise Him and ask Him to quicken your spirit.
